Porcelain Crowns and Bridges
Porcelain is a material has light-reflecting qualities that natural teeth have. The result is a crown or bridge that looks and feels like the real thing. We work with you to create a smile that looks like you were born with it.
Air Abrasion:
A method of tooth structure removal that is an effective alternative to the standard dental drill. It is suitable for the treatment of children's dental problems and also can be effectively used to repair cracks and discolorations and prepare tooth surfaces for bonding, in addition to other procedures.
Diagnodent:
A laser light that is passed over the surface of the tooth. Decay reflects back at a different diagnodentwavelength. While being passed over the tooth, the digital reading scores the soundness of the enamel surface. This information is combined with other signs, softness of the crevice, staining of the groove, and the radiographic appearance of the tooth help to give us a diagnosis and treatment.
Electric Handpiece:
Electric Handpiece: There are basically two types of handpieces, air-driven and electric. Electric handpieces are much stronger than air-driven due to the fact that a motor is spinning the bur as opposed to air. This allows the doctor to remove decay at a faster pace. It is also a little quieter sound for the patient.
The Wand:
A computer-controlled dental injection. The flow rate of the local anesthetic is controlled by a computerThe Wand. To start the computer, the dentist uses a footpedal connected to the computer tower. The computer does the rest. This means that the injection is guaranteed to be slow and steady and, therefore, more comfortable.
Composites
White fillings are designed to match the color of your teeth. They can be used to restore a decayed tooth or repair a defect. Composites bond the tooth together and can also help if you have surface cracks. Like silver fillings, they can be prepared and placed in one visit. After the decayed portion of the tooth is removed a very mild acid solution "etch" is placed in the tooth prep. A bonding agent is brushed onto the prepared tooth, followed by several thin layers of the tooth-colored composite. Once the composite filling is placed, the material is chemically hardened, or cured, with a special light, and polished.
Intraoral Camera:
Intraoral cameras are an excellent means of allowing the patient to view potential dental intraoral cameraconditions in your own mouth. It is much easier to understand what is happening in their own mouth if they can see what we see.
Implants:
Dental implants are a well established and highly successful procedure that duplicates teeth to look and feel like your own. After a periodontist or oral surgeon places a titanium fixture that serves as the replacement for the root portion of the missing natural tooth, we will create a restoration on top to look and feel like a real tooth. Implants can be used to replace a single front tooth, single back tooth, and multiple teeth. Implants can also be used to help secure dentures.
Digital X-rays
Digital x-ray is a technology that employs up to 90% less radiation exposure than traditional dental film. Generated on a computer, digital x-rays provide enhanced images for better diagnosis and earlier treatment. As soon as the picture is taken, an image pops up on a nearby computer screen. This amazing technology allows you to view any potential problems yourself and discuss them with the dentist. This allows you to make better decisions with regards to your dental health.
Vizilite
ViziLite is a technology designed to show whether you have early oral cancer or a pre-cancerous lesion. It is a simple technology to help in your fight against oral cancer. ViziLite aids in the early identification of oral abnormalities that can lead to cancer.
